Service Description

The VAFR Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) prepares students to safely and effectively operate emergency vehicles in a variety of conditions. This program follows the Virginia Association of First Responders (VAFR) curriculum and is designed for EMS, fire, and rescue personnel, as well as other public safety drivers. Training is available for all levels — EVOC I (Classroom Instruction), EVOC II (Cone Course), and EVOC III (Practical/Advanced Operations) — and can be customized to fit individual or agency needs. What You’ll Learn: • Safe operation of emergency vehicles under routine and emergency conditions • Legal and ethical responsibilities of emergency vehicle operators • Risk management and defensive driving techniques • Intersection and roadway management • Emergency response planning and vehicle inspections • Proper use of warning devices and driving under stress • Cone course driving skills and real-world scenario training Our certified VAFR instructors provide hands-on, scenario-based instruction focused on safety, situational awareness, and professional performance behind the wheel.
