This in-person course blends Virginia Concealed Carry education with a New Gun Owner Safety Seminar, offering both new and experienced shooters a well-rounded understanding of firearm safety, handling, and legal responsibilities. We offer regularly scheduled classes, as well as individual one-on-one or small group sessions to give every student the best opportunity for personalized learning. Contact our office to schedule — not all openings are listed online. Our instructors provide a comfortable, conversational learning environment where questions are encouraged. You’ll learn the dos and don’ts of concealed carry, the process for obtaining your Virginia permit, and essential safety practices for new gun owners. Topics Include: • Firearm safety and safe storage • Understanding Virginia concealed carry laws • What to expect during the permit application process • Types of firearms and ammunition basics • Cleaning, handling, and maintenance • What to expect at the range and range etiquette • Responsible firearm ownership and situational awareness At the successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate of completion to present with your concealed carry permit application at your local courthouse.
